We must Obey God

Obedience and trusting God is the only way to get God to move in our behalf. The bible says obedience is better than sacrifice. So we can not beg or bargain with God to get him to move in our situations. I remember a few years ago I was going through a trial and I was praying asking God to move in my situation. One day during the time I was going through this trial I was walking through my home and the Lord spoke to me and he said Virginetta (He called me by my name) and He said I am not going to change my mind about what I told you to do.  You see I had been going to church, preaching and teaching the word, paying my tithes and offerings, giving to others, had my prayer time with the Lord faithfully daily and studying the word of God. Yet God was letting me know that I still needed to do what he told me to do and I could not use those other things as a substitute for what he told me to do. I needed to obey what he was telling me to do at that point in my life. Those sacrificial things I was doing were not going to change His mind about what God told me to do. So We can't use other things as an exchange for what God has tell us to do or not to do. Sometimes  He tells us not to do certain things and we continue to do them. Yet we want him to move on our behalf and we think that those good things we do will cover up what He has told  us not to do.  But they don't because we can't bargain with God. We must obey what God is telling us to do at the time He is speaking it to us. Nothing else can replace our obedience. We must obey God.
