Do It As Unto The Lord

Being a stay at home mom and a wife is not always an easy job. Sometimes I just want to run out and return to the work force outside the home just like so many other women are doing. But that's not so easy to do when you still have young children and a special needs child that requires your attention as I do. Society doesn't make it easier either when they make you feel as though staying home to take care of your children is not work or it's nothing. But making a choice to not take a job outside the home and take care of your kids takes a lot of courage and it is a lot of work. You have to be mentally and physically fit do do this job.      

     Many times you have to encourage yourself because you may not have a lot of girlfriends that agree with your choice that will be their to cheer you on. Some will even try and convince you, that it's a bad choice and you got to think of self.  The decesion to stay home and take care of your kids if you can do so financially is a good one and may not be popular to man , but God will see you through it.  Here is a scripture The Lord gave me to encourage myself I hope it helps you. Colossians 3:23 Whatever may be your  task work at it heartily (from the soul) as (something done) for the Lord and not for men.  We have to remember who we are doing the work for. We are doing it for God not man. Since God is the one we are working for he will reward us Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of The Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance for you serve The Lord Christ. So it doesn't matter how the world and even our closest friends feel about what we do.  What we choose to do is important and we will be rewarded for doing it. Some of the reward we benefit from everyday. In that we get to see our kids off to school and see their smiling faces when they come home. Many working mothers who can't stay home wish they could do that. 

        We must realize Since God has called us to be stay at home mom's sometimes when we are feeling down we have to go to him for encouragement. Yes ask God to send someone your way to encourage you. You maybe surprise who he sends may not be who you expect. Or maybe he will give you a scripture or a song to lift you and give you strength to go on another day.  We have to know if  God has called you to do it is valuable. Remember you are doing it for him. It's as if God said to you (Put your name here) ____ will you stay home and take care of (put your child's name her)______ for me. 

You Have to Press Your Way Through

Life is a press. We have to press to do what is pleasing to God because trials can beat us down if we let them. Paul said in Philippians 4:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the higher calling in Christ Jesus. You have to press your way. Paul had a determine purpose to know Jesus and the power of Christ resurrection. That he might be like Christ was in his death. Christ was victorious in his death. He had completed what he had come to do and that is die for our sins. He did not allow anything to stop him. Paul had same determination. We must have this same determination to press through all that's is coming our way. It's a high calling so it's not going to be easy so we have to press to do what pleases God.  It's a press because what God may require of us sometimes goes against the norm of the society we live in. This world says hate those that hate you. God says love your enemies. This world says care about yourself. God says be concern about others. World says we can do whatever we want it's our life. God says we belong to him he has a plan for our life, so put our trust in Him. So we have to have to purpose to do what pleases God inspite of how you think or feel. We have to press. God  gives us help through his Holy Spirit to go through but we must have a determine purpose to keep on going. We must press to keep on serving him loving him and others. We must press to give him thanks and praise. We must press to love our enemies and yes even our family members and those in Christ. It's a press that in the end will bring us out just where God wants us to be in that higher calling in Christ Jesus.

Dress your kids for school

As parents we must  make sure our kids are properly dress for school. We must make sure they have the belt of truth on so the truth keeps them grounded in what is true. We can't let them leave without the breastplate of righteousness on to guard there heart against lies of the devil. We must not let them go without the shoes of the gospel of peace. So they can remain stable, have peace and be able tell others of that peace within.  We have to Ensure they take the shield of faith with them to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. We must be certain they have the helmet of salvation on protecting their minds. We have to arm our kids with the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. So they can use it against the devil when he comes to tempt them to lead them astray.  Finally but not the least we must pray for them and with them and teach them how to pray for themselves and others so they know God will hear them and answer.  Dress them well so they will be able to stand against the tricks of the devil.

God Has Already Spoken

The devil may be saying a lot of stuff to you and about you. But be of good cheer for God has already spoken a word over your life. God has spoken peace,deliverance, victory, joy, healing, comfort strength and many spiritual and physical blessings for you. Also Know this child of God, God's word will not return unto Him void it will accomplish what He pleases and it shall prosper where He sends it. So it doesn't matter what the devil says God has already spoken.

It Shall Be So

Whenever God says he is going to do something for you, you can take it as already done and start thanking Him for it. Because God gives life to the dead and speaks of the non existent things that he has foretold and promised as if they already existed (Romans 4:17). He also said in Gen17:5 I have made thee  father of many nations to Abraham before he had any children. So it shall be so.

God's Got It!

Stop worrying God's Got it. You don't have to waist another moment of your time worrying over stuff You can't do anything about. You can't change it by worrying over it so why worry.  Worry is a heavy burden that we don't have to carry. The bible says cast all your cares upon The Lord for God cares  for you.  He doesn't want us to worry. He wants us to give it to him and trust him all the way to handle the situation. I decided I am going to live worry free life because I know God's Got it !

Planning On Getting Married

Ladies if you are planning on getting married their has to be some qualities in him you admire and don't mind being around for the rest of your life. Don't get married believing you are going to change him or he is going to change once you get married because that may never happen.

Life Goes On

Life has disappointments. But Life goes on. I recently had experienced a big disappointment and I was feeling kind of down.  So today I just want to say to anyone who may be going through something. Hold on Life Goes on. Sometimes we go through hard times a lost of a job, foreclosure on our home, a divorce, a loved one lost or something just didn't turn out the way we wanted it to.  But don't let that stop you from living. You have to go on. God is there to give you the strength to go on. When disappointments happen lean on God and ask him what to do next. Because their is life after disappointments and trials. Weeping may endure for a night but joy is coming in the morning. Your life must go on and you can go on. 

Wait on The Lord

When God says wait. Wait on Him. Don't try to do it on your own because it can cost you cost you a lot. Also God knows the best way. Sometimes it's the only way. You may feel you got to do something now, before it's too late. But God knows what you are going through and he knows what you can take. He knows what He is doing and when to come. So please Trust In Him and wait.

We are Ministers of Good

God's people are not ministers of evil pay backs. We are ministers of reconciliation of good. The bible says Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble (aiming to be above reproach) in the sight of everyone. (Romans12:17). We must think before we act. Then respond in accordance with the word of God. Do not let yourself be overcome by evil. Overcome (and master ) evil with good.(Romans 12:21) Don't fall into the lies of the devil that says to you if you forgive that person you are letting them get away with something. Rather look at forgiveness as letting yourself free of something that can destroy you. 

Hold on to God

Sometimes God may require us to give up something he has given to us even after we have labored in prayer for long time to get it. But even if that's the case we must still let it go and know He knows what's best for us. That's why it is so important not to fall in love with the gift, but God the Giver of the gift. Hold on to God, He has everything you need.

You will Triumph in Christ

Now Thanks be unto God which ALWAYS causes us to Triumph in Christ Jesus and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14-15a) No matter what your situation is God is going to cause you to triumph in Christ. God is also going to cause you to dispense the fragrance of Christ so that others can see Christ in you in that circumstance.   So things don't have to be going our way all the time and we can still dispense the fragrance of Christ in our situation. We can still be loving and kind to others. We can still have joy and be at peace Praise God we got the victory !

Expect God

Expect The Lord God to move on your behalf and not man or self.  The bible says those that wait (expect, look for and hope in) upon The Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not grow weary (Isaiah 40:31) Why because they are trusting God and not man. When we do this we know everything is going to be ok. So our strength is renewed. We can run and not grow weary and walk and not faint. Because  we are not trying to make it happen in our own strength. We are resting in God in his ability to make it happen. Don't loose your strength trust God and be at peace.

The Best is Yet to Come

                   Why should I want to go back to any thing in my past when God said in his word Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. "Behold I am doing a new thing Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it and know it and will you not take heed to it" (Isaiah 43-18:19) I am looking forward to new and great things God is going to do in my Life and my family life ! What about you ? God can't do a new thing for us if we don't expect new and better things from Him now, today.  I believe God is going to make my latter greater than my past ! What about you?

You are Strong in Christ

    You will never know how strong you are if you keep complaining and saying you can't do it. Look back in your life and see how much God has brought you through and you will discover that you are stronger than you think  through Christ. I remember when I was in the service and I had to float on my back using jeans as flotation tool in over 20 feet of water for just a quarter of the pool.  I kept complaining while I was doing it saying I can't do it. Then my swimming instructor told me to look up he said you swam almost across the whole pool. I did more than required to past the test. I was stronger than I thought. As a mother with a child diagnosed with autism their has been many times I have had to encourage myself because I have felt like I just could not make it. Well it's been 7 years since his diagnosis and I am still here. I can't say it's not been hard because it has been, but God's grace has been sufficient. I have learn that the more I say I can't do it the weaker I get. But when I begin to confess the word of God that I am more than I a conqueror and I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I feel empowered and ready to face another day. So I say to you today Don't believe the lies of the devil when he tells you, you can't do it or you can't take it any more. Speak life yourself, encourage yourself in The Lord with the word of God.  Speak back to the enemy saying  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. One day you will look back and see how God has brought you through in Christ.

God Is Our Hope

God is not dead. God's people are not without hope. God is our hope. Therefore  "The Good Old Days" are not behind you they are ahead of you. Walk in obedience to God, put your  trust in Him  and expect Him to do great things in your life. Psalms 23: 6a states Surely Goodness  and Mercy shall follow me All the Days of My Life. Therefore God has some goodness and mercy for us today and everyday we live. Look ahead for some great things from God.

We Can Worship God AnyWhere

I am so glad that God dwells with his people. Sometimes we can't get to church. But we can build an altar around our heart and we can enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with Praise. For God inhabits the praises of his people. We can have church right where we are because we are the church the temple of the Living God. 

Your Calling Is Important

               Whatever God has given you to do is important and not insignificant. We are valuable not because of what we do but who we are in Christ. Don't allow the standards of this world to dictate what is important or what you should be doing. 1 Corinthians 1:27-28 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to  put the  wise to shame, and God hath chosen  the weak things of the world to shame the mighty.  The world doesn't dictate what's important in God's kingdom to God's people. So we can do whatever he wants with joy and confidence knowing He approves and that's all that matters. 

God is Thinking Good Thoughts About Us

 We are always on God's mind and He is always thinking good thoughts about us. Psalms 139: 17-18 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me., O God how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with thee. So God wants us to succeed he doesn't want us to fail. He is thinking good thoughts and he wants the best for us and wants to give us the best. So when you think no one is thinking about you be comforted with this thought God is thinking good thoughts about me.
