Who are you Thankful To ?

I often here people speaking of being thankful. They say things like I am thankful I have this job. I am thankful for this house. I am thankful for my family. We even here the politically correct  people speaking of giving thanks on Thanksgiving. But who are they giving thanks to?  Sadly in our society today it has become among some a taboo to say I give thanks to God. Where this may be true of those in the world this should not be common in the life of a Christian. We should not be ashamed to give thanks to God for all that he has done and continue to do for us on a daily bases. We know that it is God that takes care of us and not Mother Nature she does not exist. God has reveled the truth to us so we don't have to act like those who don't know. Imagine if you did something for your child or someone and they didn't say thank you to you or they thanked someone else. I am sure that you would not feel good about that. I am sure that God is not pleased when we don't thank Him for all He does for us. So when it comes to giving thanks our mouths should declare His goodness to all boldly. The bible says in Psalms 92:2-3 It is a good thing to give thanks unto The Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O most High; To declare your loving kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness at night. God has always been faithful to us and so He is worthy to be thanked for all he has done. Let us give our thanks unto the Lord for He is good Psalms 136:1.

The Lord is Blessing Me Right Now

The Lord Is blessing me right now! This is the day that The Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it!  I am going to enjoy this day not because everything is going my way. But because I am alive and God has allowed me to see another day. Do I have everything I want. No. But I do I have everything I need right now. So I am thanking God for the right now blessings. I am not going to waist my today worrying over things I don"t have and may never have because God may not want me to have it. That's another blog all together. You see we waist so much of our time worrying over what we don't have we fail to see and be thankful for all the wonderful things God has blessed us with right now. I remember one day I said to God. Lord I will give you all the praise when you heal my son Gabriel from autism.  Then God said to me aren't I still worthy of the praise. I said yes Lord, you are still worthy of the praise and I fell to my knees and began to Praise the Lord at that very moment. While I was Praising God my son Gabriel who I was praying for God to heal that doesn't usually speak said Hallelujah. You see God was letting me know He was worthy of the praise right now, at the very moment, not only later on when he heals my son. I had many things to be thankful for at that very moment I needed to give God the praise for. If  I had not given God the praise at that moment I would have missed out on my son saying Hallelujah. One of the keys to enjoying today is being thankful to God for all that you have right now. So as people of God we don't have to wait until we get all we think we need to enjoy the day we are in. We just need to be thankful for all that God has blessed us with right now. Because He is Blessing us right now.
